Tamar Valley, Tasmania

The grapes were grown from a select parcel of 400 vines. The established vineyard is located in Rosevears in the Tamar Valley. The Pinot Noir vines are approximately 20 years of age and two particular clones of the Pinot Noir grape have been selected for this wine. The grapes are hand-picked, and the wine is made by a local winemaker Matthias Utzinger from Utzinger Wines in Legana.

This Pinot Noir grapes were destemmed and fermented in open vats before transfer to three-year-old French barrels. The result is a medium bodied Pinot Noir wine displaying lifted aromatics of dark red fruits such as cherry, blackcurrant, and mixed spice. Dark in colour this cool climate Pinot Noir presents balanced acid and tannin structure with complex lifted fruit notes.
