The grapes were grown by Bruce McCormack in Rosevears in the West Tamar Valley of Tasmania. A single site with nine rows of 20-year-old Pinot Gris grape vines. The grapes are handpicked and made locally at Utzinger Wines in Legana.

This wine was 50% fermented in three-year-old French barrels and 50% in stainless steel vessels.
This Pinot Gris is elegant and full-bodied, displaying the lifted aromatics typical of authentic Tasmanian cool climate Pinot Gris grapes. It features ripened pear and tropical fruit characters, with a bronze colour intentionally extracted from the grapes by extended time on skins. Extended time on lees adds to the complexity of this wine.

Drink lightly chilled to allow the delicate fruit flavours to develop.
