The Pinot Noir grapes were grown in a newly established vineyard in Beaconsfield in the West Tamar Valley. The Pinot Noir vines are only 4 years of age and two particular clones of the Pinot Noir grape were selected for this wine. Only 1 ton of grapes are handpicked and delivered to Matthias Utzinger from Utzinger Wines in Legana.

The Pinot Noir grapes were destemmed and fermented in open vats before being transferred into two French oak barrels, aged 3 and 5 years. The result is a light to medium-bodied Pinot Noir wine with lifted aromatics of light red fruits, including ripe strawberry and raspberry, with slight vanilla undertones from the oak. Ruby red in colour, this cool climate Pinot Noir presents beautiful aromatics with balanced acid and tannin structure.
